Learn more about how we can help you restore your property to its full potential…
After all, each paint job is unique and requires a personal touch. Whether you have a vision for your building’s interior or exterior, you need an expert you can trust to get the job done.
The last thing you need to worry about is whether your contractor will be organised, reliable, and creative enough to bring your vision to life.
That’s where we come in! Our industry-leading professionals are committed to going above and beyond so you receive the highest-quality work on-time & on-budget.
Hi there! I’m Bill, founder of Melbourne City Painting. For the last 18+ years, we’ve made it our mission to deliver exceptional work & unparalleled customer service until your vision is fully brought to life. My promise to you is that my team and I won’t stop working until you’re absolutely delighted with the final product.
We take great pride in our work because we always want our clients (and their visitors) to be excited when they enter their building. Why’s that important to you? Because you know that first impressions matter!
You deserve a building that looks both fresh and beautiful, and we’ve been honoured to make that a reality for all of our clients since 2005.”

That means everything we do is tailored to your specific needs. And here’s the proof…
So we employ some of the most skilled people in the industry with nearly 20 years of experience and 400+ projects under their belt
So we manage every aspect of your project–from all the painting details to liaising with council members (and everything in between)
So we assign 1 main point of contact from our team to provide consistent communication –giving you total peace of mind about your project’s status
Interesting enough, it all started at a low point in my career: right after I was fired from a job! I craved more responsibility and autonomy–two wishes that weren’t well-received by my employer…
I knew I had something more to give, so the firing turned out to be a blessing in disguise. My passion has always been painting, and I love creating beautiful spaces for others to enjoy. So I put an ad in the local paper and got started!
The next year was a whole lot of hard work–full of missteps, challenges, and my fair share of failures. I took on every odd job I could find and grinded my way through the beginning.
But I stayed with it and finally hit my stride! I started trading at Melbourne City Painting and was able to hire 6 more team members to serve our growing client base.
During the next few years, we grew steadily and helped a wide variety of clients upgrade their property’s appearance. We became known for our ability to complete high-quality work on-time and on-budget.
Unfortunately, the global financial crisis hit us hard–like it did to so many other businesses. Work started to dry up and I had to let most staff members go. While it was a frustrating time, I learned a key lesson: make sure I attract the right clients!
As we shifted our focus to attracting high-level clients, we also expanded our offerings. We rebranded as Melbourne City Maintenance and provided more services for our changing client base than ever before.
These new additions allowed us to provide more value, and we became known as a one-stop shop for all things maintenance related.
Just when we were on the right path, an unexpected roadblock got in the way: I developed a severe brain haemorrhage.
It sapped my energy and resources, forcing me to restructure the entire business. To at least keep my dream alive, I outsourced our work to other contractors while I focused on my health.
After a longer hiatus than I had hoped, my health was fully restored– I was ready to return to my passion. I started hiring employees again and grew the team with the most experienced and talented painters I could find.
Hiring these true professionals gave us the reputation for high-quality, expert-level work that we’re known for today.
We completed our rebrand back to Melbourne City Painting. Along our winding 20+ year journey, we’ve offered a wide variety of services. But I’ve learned that there’s truth to the phrase: “jack of all trades, master of none.”
That’s why we decided to return to what we do best: delivering the best end-to-end painting experience for our clients.
While it hasn’t been an easy road, I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come and all the people we’ve helped along the way!
If you need some or all of your commercial building
repainted, then Melbourne City Painting has you covered.
Our hard-working, caring, and reliable team is ready to
help and we can’t wait to hear from you!
